Just in case there was anyone in the world who hadn't played Minecraft before, Microsoft has released a brand new free trial version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. The game normally retails for $19.99, but this free trial will let you try it out at no cost at all. Of course, it won't be the full game, though Microsoft hasn't went into details on what limitations have been placed. Edit pdf text with preview.
The demo is available now, so if you're interested, just download it right here and give it a shot. Minecraft is, of course, a fantastic game. The Xbox One version might be a bit behind the PC in a few ways, such as limited worlds, free customizations, mod support, and generally lagging behind in updates. However, it is a huge improvement over the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, which had minuscule worlds and performance issues throughout. Screenshot part of screen.
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition runs at a pretty solid 1080p and 60fps. Bugs are still a big part of the game, even after being available for years, but that's just become a part of Minecraft's charm at this point. If you are wandering around the world and don't see big chunks that didn't load, or you don't have weird glitches at random times, then it's just not Minecraft.
There is already a free demo of Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition, if that is the console that you prefer to game on.
